DELIVERY

At Carved Bags, every order is carefully prepared and packaged before being sent to its new owner.

Delivery times depend on whether you are purchasing an item currently in stock or commissioning a bag that needs to be made especially for you.

📦 IN-STOCK BAGS

Bags shown as in stock have already been handcrafted by Andrew and are available for purchase.

Once your order has been processed, your bag will be carefully packaged ready for delivery.

We aim to dispatch in-stock products within 10 working days.

🪡 MADE-TO-ORDER BAGS

Every Carved Bags product is individually handcrafted rather than mass-produced.

A bag typically takes around 10 days to create, based on approximately 1–2 hours of work each day.

This can involve:

• Cutting the leather
• Hand-carving the design
• Applying colour and dye
• Preparing individual components
• Hand-stitching
• Finishing the completed bag

Any expected production time will be communicated when your order is confirmed.

🎨 CUSTOM DESIGNS

Custom artwork may require additional design and production time.

Andrew will review your requirements before work begins and discuss any additional design charges or requirements with you.

A non-refundable deposit is required before custom design work begins, subject to the terms explained on our Custom Design Terms page.

🚚 DELIVERY & TRACKING

Every finished order is packaged carefully to help protect it during transit.

All bags are sent as recorded delivery. Once you bag has been dispatched, Andrew will contact you with your tracking number.

RETURNS & REFUNDS

Every Carved Bags product is created individually using natural leather and traditional handcrafting techniques.

As a result, minor variations between products are to be expected. This can include natural variations in the leather and small differences resulting from the hand-carving, colouring and stitching process.

These individual characteristics are part of what makes every Carved Bags creation unique.

↩ STANDARD STOCK ITEMS

For most products purchased online, customers have a legal right to change their mind.

If you wish to cancel an eligible online purchase, please contact Carved Bags within 14 days of receiving your order. You then have a further 14 days to return the item. [gov.uk]

Returned products should be handled with reasonable care. The Government guidance states that deductions can potentially be made where returned goods have been used or damaged beyond what would be reasonable for examining them.

🎨 CUSTOM & PERSONALISED ITEMS

Products made to a customer’s specifications or clearly personalised are generally excluded from the standard change-of-mind cancellation right that applies to most online purchases. [gov.uk]

Therefore, bespoke or personalised Carved Bags products cannot normally be returned simply because the customer has changed their mind.

This does not affect your statutory rights if the product is faulty, damaged, not as described or otherwise does not meet the legal requirements applicable to the sale.

⚠ FAULTY OR DAMAGED ITEMS

Every Carved Bags product is individually handcrafted and carefully checked before dispatch.

If you believe your item is faulty, has arrived damaged or is not what you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible with your order details and photographs where appropriate.

We will review the issue and work with you to provide an appropriate resolution.

💳 REFUNDS

Where a refund is due, it will be processed using the original payment method.

Applicable refunds will be processed in accordance with your statutory rights.
